Renee Lopez, a 17-year veteran coach, speaks throughout the country educating students, parents, coaches, and administrators on the college recruiting process. Her coaching experience includes stints with NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and high school varsity teams. She also served as a director of coaching for a club and oversaw NCAA Division II Compliance for 13 sports.
After her college athletic career, she earned her graduate degree at the University of Florida in Exercise Sport Science/Sport Management while on staff with the NCAA Elite Eight team. From 2005-2009, Renee led a NCAA Division II program from a 3-12-2 record to back-to-back 11 win seasons, earning her Coach of the Year, team academic awards, and all-conference players including an All-American. This success catapulted her into a NCAA Division I Head Coach with another record-breaking season.
A heart-felt call then led Renee to coach four years at Christian colleges, advancing her teams to Regional Championships and producing two more All-Americans. She understands the unique aspect of Christian college and international recruiting and has received honors for her Costa Rican sports ministry. She has written articles for the National Christian Colleges Athletic Association, and spoken at Fellowship of Christian Athletes events.
Renee runs RL Academy, L.L.C. which focuses on leadership and sports consulting. She is also a certified speaker, trainer, and coach on leadership development with the John Maxwell Team and Volta Leadership & Sports Consulting. In addition, she is certified with 3Dimensional Coaching, the NCAA Women’s Coaches Academy, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, and the United States Soccer Federation.
